@MikeMikeBMX how are you gonna ski backwards with poles that long. Poles are pointless anyways Mins are like three feet long and what do you need them for anyways…nothing. Definatly dont wanna be spinning through the air with huge daggers.

@MikeMikeBMX Thank you! Great advice.

@ruskishooric
Bend your arms at a 90 degree angle relaxed at your sides. Use the poles that touch the ground at that angle.

ruskishooric,
To find a good pole length, bend your arms at a 90 degree angle relaxed at your sides. The poles that just touch the ground at that height should be the best of the poles you have.

Norwegians are born with ski poles

ruskishooric October 20, 2011 at 9:35 am

He should explain how long the ski pole has to be. I have a few ski poles, but I don’t know whether to choose a short one, long one, or medium sized. I’m 5’10″. Reply if anyone knows please.

@jessejerret You’re 7 years old and you have a youtube account?
Wow, be careful.. The internet is dangerous.

1LittleJo October 20, 2011 at 2:42 pm

He’s putting the straps on wrong.. You’re not supposed to put it over your thumb so it goes around your wrist. You put the strap around your four fingers, not around your thumb, and you twist it around once or twice and grip the ski.

jgomes1992 October 20, 2011 at 3:24 pm

his poles r way to short!!!! ur arm should be level when they are touching the ground.
