@sherwinjtb You can cruise at this power setting for about 10 minutes, so you would travel maybe 5 miles. Full throttle you would only get about 4 minutes, but this would be enough to take you up a mountain a couple thousand feet. Not super practical, but damn fun.

No problem holding the camera…it’s a GoPro. What was tiring was staying in the tuck position for any length of time while carrying 50 lbs. That’s why I was standing upright so much toward the end. My legs were toast.

sherwinjtb November 10, 2011 at 12:08 pm

nice you’d think those things would run out of fuel very quickly. must’ve been tiring carrying the camera lol

troyhartmancom November 10, 2011 at 12:42 pm

@sakadatci Lots of different options out there these days for jet engines. I had to go with a UAV design typically used for military drones.

sakadatci November 10, 2011 at 12:43 pm

So what do you have fi you dont have jetcat ?? dont tell me you are carrying a helicopter engine on your back ! =))))

troyhartmancom November 10, 2011 at 1:21 pm

@sakadatci Jetcats are too small. You would need to stack a bunch of their P-200′s on your back to make it work.

I agree…more video is needed.

sakadatci November 10, 2011 at 1:51 pm

Dude, You ROCK !!!!! It seems like you have like 1 jetcat with a high trust. Try to have some body else to shoot you when you are riding. Awesome..

machineyarod November 10, 2011 at 2:14 pm

@troyhartmancom its still dope though. try inventing a jetpack that has fans under it and that spin very fast, maybe u could create somethin awesome out of that

troyhartmancom November 10, 2011 at 2:16 pm

@machineyarod I wish it were air…it would be a whole hell of a lot cheaper! It runs on jet fuel.

machineyarod November 10, 2011 at 2:52 pm

And this will definitly start a colonization of Antarctica. Btw, does ur jetpack just use air to make u move that fast?

machineyarod November 10, 2011 at 3:37 pm

Sweet i can catch a deer now :D

RaoulnJoy November 10, 2011 at 4:26 pm
